About the Project
Idaho Falls Radiation Oncology Center – Original Facility (2014)
Heywood Development partnered with a local developer and physician ownership group to plan and deliver a new 7,000-square-foot Radiation Oncology Center designed to house a state-of-the-art linear accelerator. Serving as the owner’s representative, we guided the project from initial concept through budgeting, syndication, financing, design, and construction.
Our role included coordinating among physicians, investors, and the design and construction teams to ensure the project’s success—balancing highly technical equipment requirements with operational and financial objectives. The result was a modern, efficient facility that supports advanced cancer treatment in a comfortable, patient-centered environment.
Completed in 2014, the Radiation Oncology Center became a cornerstone of the community’s oncology services and set the foundation for future growth.
Idaho Falls Radiation Oncology Center – Expansion (2025)
A decade after the original build, the ownership group once again partnered with Heywood Development to expand the Radiation Oncology Center. This project added an additional linear accelerator, a new CT suite, and supporting spaces to accommodate increasing patient volume and technological advancements in cancer care.
As with the initial project, we served as the owner’s representative, assisting the physician group through project conception, budgeting, financing, and design coordination. Our team worked closely with stakeholders to integrate the new equipment and spaces seamlessly into the existing facility while maintaining ongoing operations and patient care.
Completed in 2025, the expansion enhanced the center’s clinical capabilities and efficiency, ensuring the facility continues to provide cutting-edge radiation therapy and compassionate care for years to come.
