Laboratory Relocation and Expansion - 2022

In 2022, Heywood Development partnered with MVH to relocate and expand the hospital’s clinical laboratory, supporting its continued commitment to operational efficiency and high-quality patient care. The project involved transforming an existing space into a modern, high-performance lab environment equipped with advanced automation technology.

Working closely with hospital leadership, laboratory staff, and the design-build team, we guided the planning and implementation process to ensure that the new facility met technical requirements and regulatory standards while accommodating future growth. A key component of the project was the installation of an automated track system, which significantly increased the lab’s testing capacity, workflow efficiency, and turnaround times.

Throughout the relocation and expansion, we coordinated closely with the hospital team to minimize disruption to ongoing operations and maintain uninterrupted laboratory services. The project was completed on schedule and within budget, providing MVH with a state-of-the-art laboratory that enhances accuracy, speed, and scalability in diagnostic testing.
