David Heywood is a healthcare entrepreneur, attorney, and developer with a track record of building, advising, and investing in high-performing healthcare and real estate ventures. As Principal of Heywood Development, he leads healthcare real estate projects across the Mountain West, managing site acquisition, financing, lease structuring, and project delivery for medical operators and private investors. His work bridges the gap between healthcare operations and real estate investment, aligning long-term facility strategy with business growth.
David also serves as Of Counsel at Kunzler Bean & Adamson, PC, where he advises startups, healthcare groups, and private equity funds on corporate formation, M&A, financings, and commercial transactions.
As a founder, David has launched and exited multiple healthcare ventures, including Corner Clinic, a network of urgent care centers in Southern Utah, and Desert Peak Imaging, a diagnostic imaging center offering MRI and CT services. His hands-on experience building and selling these businesses provides him with insight into every phase of the healthcare and business lifecycle—from concept and capital formation to patient operations and strategic exit.
Earlier in his career, David worked in Real Estate Transaction Advisory Services at Ernst & Young, supporting real estate and portfolio transactions for Fortune 500 companies, REITs, and private real estate equity funds. David earned both a Juris Doctor (Magna Cum Laude) and an M.B.A. in Finance (Top 10%) from Brigham Young University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, Arizona).
